Perse Poetry to appear in new Busta Rhyme anthology
1 Dec 2016
Two Perse students, Florence Harmer (Year 9) and Tengyu Zhao (Year 7) have been selected from over 12,000 children across the UK to have their poems published in a new anthology due to be released in the Spring.
Their poems will appear in a new publication showcasing young writers’ work called Busta Rhyme – UK Voices. The poems have been selected based on the quality of imagination, creativeness and use of language demonstrated in their work.
Tengu submitted a poem called Fair Inequality which was inspired by Martin Luther King’s speech ‘I have a Dream’ while Florence’s poem Shades of War came about after studying World War I in history classes.
