The Perse School

Under 12 Hockey Tour

This week our U12 girls embarked on their first overnight mini tour as Upper School pupils.

The tour started off with some competitive hockey games against tough opposition at Kings Ely, with 2 wins for the A and D team and 2 losses for the B and C team.

This proved to be a positive start to tour, leaving the girls in high spirits and ready to take on their next opposition early Saturday morning.  The next day the girls headed across to Stamford School for the second fixture of the mini tour. where the opposition was strong.

All the girls across the four teams played well and the progress they had made from the beginning of the term was clearly evident.

Results were mixed with the A team maintaining their unbeaten record with a superb 3-1 win with an excellent team effort while the B and C team were unlucky to lose and the D team fought hard to achieve a well-earned draw.

Despite their hard work there was no time for the pupils to rest as we went to Grafham Water for an afternoon of team building activities including high ropes, pioneering and the Grafham Challenge (a blindfolded obstacle course).
