The Glebe Falcons have taken the title in this year’s House Drama Competition.

Theme was a celebration of Shakespeare, to mark the 400thanniversary of his death. The Drama Department delivered a box to each House with a set of abridged scripts for four plays: The Tempest, Macbeth, Henry V and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The brief was to re-imagine and stage these masterpieces. Each House had to create these pieces themselves, without direction from members of staff.

The audience were entertained with some great delivery, lots of comedy moments, inventive use of props, the incorporation of music, rap battles, ribbon twirling and a few special staff appearances. We were joined by two esteemed judges: professional actor and director Robert Dalton, and our very own Mrs Vernon-Purvis.

Many thanks to the Heads of Houses for their support of the project, and to those members of the Houses who participated.
