Oliver Brunt competes against the best young golfers in the world

9 Jun 2016

Following on from his victory in the Cambridgeshire Inter Schools Golf Competition, Oliver Brunt, in Year 7, competed in the US Kids Golf European Championships during half term, which was held at various courses in East Lothian in Scotland. This consisted of three rounds of 18 holes and Oliver was pitted against 72 of the best eleven year old boys from all over the world.

Oliver finished a highly commendable 21st place overall and was the 6th best player from Britain in the field, with rounds of 82, 73 and 83. His round of 73 (+1) consisted of three birdies and was the second lowest of the day. What made this even more impressive was that Oliver was up against the windiest conditions faced that week.

Head of History and Golf Coach, Peter Anderson, said, ‘Oliver has made outstanding progress with his game over the last few months and is only going to further improve as he develops physically’.
