The Perse School

So you want to be a …

Last night the School hosted the annual Careers Convention – an opportunity for our current Year 11 pupils to meet with over 50 representatives from over 30 organisations.

There were representatives from a diverse range of sectors in attendance, from finance to technology, law to journalism, engineering to veterinary. This event provided an excellent opportunity for our students to ask all of their burning questions about careers that interest them, whilst finding out about how to break into that sector.

Representatives from the NHS shed light on the path to becoming a dentist or doctor, founders of  creative agency The District stopped by to discuss setting up a design business and graduate surveyors from Bidwells discussed property consultancy.

This is event comes at a time when Year 11 students are making important choices about their future, and so enjoyed speaking to our 10-strong university and UCAS advice team to learn more about the university application process, A level and university choices.

Thank you to all of the organisations that gave up their time to attend the event, and for both inspiring and informing our students.
