A life in a day
Upper Sixth pupil George Lawton created a stunning short film for the School, turning the concept of a ‘day in the life’ on its head to explore the human experience through ‘a life in a day’. The five minute film was shot on site at The Perse and on location in London. In addition to reflecting on the impact of the choices we make in life, it also offers a unique insight into daily life at the School.
The film premiered at the launch of the school’s major fundraising campaign: An Enduring Gift. Performing arts are a passion for George, who took the role of Reecey in last year’s production of Our House and who leads mini masterclasses in Technical Theatre Club for pupils who want to learn backstage skills. His support of the School and of his peers has been recognised by the Cambridge News: he was one of the finalists in the 2015 Education Awards in the Pupil of the Year category.
