Year 4 enjoy a whizzbanging Roald Dahl workshop
2 Mar 2015
A practitioner from the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre visited the Prep on Friday to lead each Year 4 class in a whizzbanging Roald Dahl workshop.
The children learned all about the process Roald Dahl went through when writing his infamous stories. They were even lucky enough to see some of the items he kept in his writing shed which inspired him.
The pupils then had a chance to create their very own glumptious hero and bogtrotting villain characters in Dahl’s style. This excellent workshop tied in perfectly with the work they have been doing on the book Matilda this term.
The children listened avidly and particularly enjoyed creating original characters, which will have no doubt given them lots of fantastic ideas to produce their own Roald Dahl inspired tales.
