Students qualify for Maths Olympiad training camp
Following on from the first round of the British Maths Olympiad, nine students from The Perse qualified to take part in the second round of the competition, placing them in the top 100 students nationally. This is the highest level of the competition and the students did exceptionally well to qualify.
From the second round of the Olympiad, 22 students from across the country were selected for the the Maths Olympiad training session at Trinity College, Cambridge, which forms part of the selection process for the International Mathematical Olympiad. Four Perse students – Rosie Cates, Alex Harris, Thomas Read and Renzhi Zhou – have been selected to take part in this camp. This is a truly excellent result to have four students from the same school reach this stage of the competition. We wish the students every success as they attend the camp over the Easter break.
