Students delve into the ‘private lives of print’
4 Mar 2015
Earlier this week, a group of Year 10 and Year 11 students paid a visit to the “Private Lives of Print” exhibition at Cambridge’s University Library as part of the Middle School enrichment programme. The exhibition is the culmination of a project to catalogue Cambridge University Library’s collection of pre-1501 printed books.
The curator, Ed Potten gave a fantastic talk to the students, which introduced them to the rise of mass production and the effect that this had on print and illumination.
This was a really enjoyable and informative visit for the students with an interest in both history and literature.
