Year 11 look to the future at Careers Convention

Last night, Year 11 attended the annual Perse Careers Convention, which saw over 50 individuals from over 30 organisations offer careers advice to our students.

Representatives from a broad range of sectors attended from advertising to aerospace, journalism to law and medicine to veterinary, answering all of our students’ burning questions on the career path they took. Our very own 10-strong UCAS team were also on hand to answer questions about A level and university choices and the university application process. This informative event aimed to help our students learn more about specific careers at a time when they are making important decisions about their futures.

Amongst others, Individuals from local tech firm ARM gave advice on computer engineering, a representative from British Airways gave an insight into how he became an airline pilot, while a Google employee talked about being a product manager for one of the world’s most well-known brands.

Thank you to all of the delegates that gave their time to the event – it was an excellent, informative evening for our students.
