Dahlicious dress-up day at the Pelican
1 Oct 2014
On Monday, the Pelican was awash with bright and colourful costumes as children and staff at the Pelican came to school dressed as their favourite Roald Dahl character to raise money for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity.
The school was full of Willy Wonkas, BFGs, Matilda Wormwoods and even had our very own Ms Trunchbull for the day in the form of Mrs Waddington! The children enjoyed a special assembly led by Jo Musson (a Dahlicious Nurse from Addenbrooke’s Hospital) who spoke to the children about the charity and how the money is used to help sick children and their families.
Seven lucky winners, one from each class, were awarded a Roald Dahl book and pencil for the ‘best dressed’ competition.
What a Dahlicious Day was had by all!
