Pelican pupil success in ballet exams

28 Aug 2014

Ballet is a very popular extra-curricular club on offer at the Pelican, and this year, lots of pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 took exams to demonstrate their poise, elegance and skill.

For those children taking their primary ballet exam, Alicia Li, Esme Hallam, Esme Jonas and Uma Bhardwaj were awarded distinctions, and Martha Price, Neve Stanfield and Rhia Aurora received merits.

A handful of Pelicans also took Grade 1 and Grade 2 ballet exams, with significant success. In the Grade 1 solo performance award, Mabel Hancock was awarded a distinction and Alissa Devereux was awarded a merit. Phoebe Yates and Safia Clements secured distinctions and Charlotte Hipperson secured a merit in their Grade 1 exam. In Grade 2, Fenella Clarke and Jonathan Knight received distinctions.

Well done everyone!
