Glebe Falcons get on their bikes for charity cycle
On Sunday, eight brave Year 10 students from one of our Houses, the Glebe Falcons, ventured to Ely and back on their bicycles to raise money for Christel House. Christel House is a charity with which The Perse has a strong partnership. It transforms children’s lives by building and running learning centres in impoverished neighbourhoods across the world, providing quality education, healthcare, life-skills training and work-study opportunities.
The group persevered despite a few punctures (ably fixed by group leader and House Captain Steph Budenberg) and refuelled with a pizza at Ely before embarking on the return journey.
A good time was had by all, though several of them were rather sore on Monday!
Many thanks to everyone who contributed extremely generously to the group’s fundraising, which has so far raised over £500 – an outstanding achievement.
