The Yale Spizzwinks(?) make a stop at The Perse on their world tour
Pupils and staff at The Perse are looking forward to welcoming The Yale Spizzwinks(?) on Tuesday 13 May for a special workshop which will be followed by an evening performance in the school hall.
Hailing from Yale University, The Yale Spizzwinks(?) are one of the oldest a capella groups in the USA, and are currently in the midst of a world tour in celebration of their centenary year.
Before attending the workshop at The Perse, The Spizzwinks(?) will be heading to BBC Radio Cambridgeshire with our Head of extra-curricular music, Ben Wingfield, to record an interview and to chat all things a capella, which will then be aired on Jeremy Sallis’s show at around 4pm tomorrow.
We look forward to listening to renditions of pop and rock classics, both old and new – here is one of their fantastic performances for you to listen to, to whet your appetite ahead of tomorrow’s show.
The show starts at 7.30pm in the Upper school hall. There are still some tickets (£12 adults, £7 children, including refreshments) remaining which can be purchased in advance by visiting http://www.spizzwinksatperse.eventbrite.co.uk/.
Please note that tickets will not be available to purchase on the door on the night.
