Pelicans venture under the sea

Last week, the long-awaited climax to the children’s ‘Under the Sea’ topic took place with a fantastic outing to the Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre.
They loved watching the enormous sea turtles, sharks and conger eels and were amazed to see the various rays from different angles during their feeding time. Most children took the opportunity to touch a starfish and crab, and they learnt even more about life under the sea.
Before leaving they took a walk on the beach and watched the waves crashing onto the shore. This has been a new topic for Year 1, with both teachers and children embracing it enthusiastically.
