Perse pupils through to National Final of Pro Corda National Chamber Music Festival

We are thrilled to announce that four groups of Perse pupils are now through to the Pro Corda National Chamber Music Festival for Schools Final at the Birmingham Conservatoire on Sunday 23 March.

105 ensembles from across the country took part in the semi-finals. Only 27 groups have made it through to the final so it is a staggering achievement that four of these groups will be from the Perse.

We congratulate the following groups on reaching the final:

Kuo String Quartet – Yao-Chih Kuo (violin), Kevin Zhang (violin), Ekaterina Rahr-Bohr (viola) and Stephanie Gaunt (cello)

Martin Piano Trio – Natalie Martin (piano), Patrick Bevan (violin) and Thomas Read (cello)

Harmer Piano Trio – William Harmer (piano), Joshua Harliono-Evans (violin) and Alex Scott (cello)

Harliono-Evans Piano Trio – George Harliono-Evans (piano), Alex Harris (violin) and Hugo Chambre (cello)

We are looking forward to the final next week! Well done to all those involved.
