Year 10 charity committee goes bonkers for books

17 Jan 2014

For several weeks, the Year 10 Charities Committee has been working hard to collect thousands of books to donate to the charity Book Aid for Africa. These books will be sent to under-resourced schools and libraries across Africa.

The committee has collected books from all departments of the Perse Upper. They have recently visited some of their respective primary schools to spread awareness of the charity, to encourage them to get involved, and in particular to thank King’s College School for the huge amount of support which they have already shown.

Steph Budenberg, Annie Macdonald, Henry Waugh, Kieron Young, Jonathon Ferguson, Claudia Tomkys, Iona Woodward and Andrey Nezhentsev have all delivered inspiring assemblies, between them visiting the Perse Prep and Pelican schools and King’s College School.
