The Perse School

Music success at the Perse

The past week has been very busy in the Music Department – we have had carol services, performances in the Grand Arcade and some outstanding musical achievements.

Year 7 pupil, Kilian Meissner has been accepted into the National Children’s Orchestra, meanwhile, Year 8 pupil, Pip Jackson has had a fantastic week – he has not only won a place in the National Children’s Wind Sinfonia on trombone, but he has also been offered a place in the National Youth Choir – Cambiata section!

Pupils have also received another set of very impressive ABRSM exam results, and we congratulate the eight who gained distinction grades, amongst them some very high marks indeed; Asher Glinsman, Ailis Halligan, Hamish MacGregor, Natalie Martin, Alastair Minshall, Jacob Oberholzer, Claire Wood and Will Woods.

These are fantastic achievements to round off a brilliant term, well done to everyone – we hope the New Year will be filled with similar success.
