It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas …
Christmas has well and truly arrived at the Pelican! Last week was kicked off with all children taking part in the Christingle service at St John the Evangelist’s church. The singing was enhanced by the Pelican Ringers, the School’s handbell group, who expertly accompanied Ding Dong Merrily on High. All of the Year 2 children then processed through the church carrying their Christingles. The service raised a fantastic £333.50 for The Children’s Society – well done everyone.
Another festive tradition also took place at the Pelican, with the annual stirring of the Christmas pudding, where every pupil had a go at stirring the giant pudding!
Preparations have also been underway for the Reception and Year 1 Christmas production which will be taking place today – Children of the World – along with lots of other Christmas activities including making advent calendars and Christmas stockings.
