U6 trip to l’Institut Francais
On Wednesday 23 October a group of 16 Upper Sixth French students and 2 members of the MFL department went to the Institut Francais in London. The aim of the day was to provide an insight on the topic of immigration in France as this is one of the themes at A2. On arrival we had a quick tour of the Institut and a member of staff explained what its role was. After that we settled in the library with students from different schools and listened to a very interesting presentation on the different waves of immigration in France and the different ways France and England have dealt with this issue. The workshop gave students an opportunity to practise their French in a different context and to exchange ideas with other students.
