Music scholars’ concert
The first of our two music scholars’ concerts took place on Wednesday, featuring a varied and virtuosic programme of pieces from the classical canon as well as from the contemporary sphere. These concerts are held to celebrate the talents of our music scholars, and their continued contribution to music at the Perse. Well done to all who took part, and thanks to those parents and teachers who came to support. Of particular note was Joshua Harliono-Evans’ performance of his very own composition for violin and piano, entitled The Rattlesnake. You can view Joshua performing the piece at an earlier date by clicking here. The music department is keen to air the compositional talents of our pupils as often, so keep on the look-out for the odd composition recording making its way onto the website. A composers’ platform concert is also in the pipeline for the Summer Term – watch this space!
