Pupils and teachers shine a light on charity’s work in India
13 Jun 2013
In March, we reported that pupils from the Prep ran over 500 miles to raise more than £1200 for the Khandel Light charity, which helps people in Rajasthan, one of the poorest areas in the world.
At that time Dr Peter Gough from Khandel Light came to speak at a Prep assembly about the charity’s work, and was able to set up a live link-up with a villagers’ weekly meeting.
Courtesy of Khandel Light we now have video of that assembly. See the Prep children greeting the villagers with a rousing “ram ram” (“hello”), and watch Dr Gough’s fascinating and thought-provoking talk on life in Khandel and the surrounding villages, and the difference the charity is making there.
