Back to School for Charity Thank You
8 Mar 2013
This week three current Perse pupils returned to their old school, King's College School, to talk about READ International and thank King's pupils for the fantastic work they have been doing for the charity.
Lizzie Ford, Tim Greenbank and James Young spoke to two assemblies about the excellent work that READ International does to ensure that children in Tanzania have access to textbooks and resources – which are in desperately short supply.
They also saw first hand the astonishing 1300 unwanted books that King's pupils have donated to the charity – with even more promised!
Towards the end of last year Year 10 pupils at The Perse also raised money for READ International by holding the school's first ever Jamathon.
