Crime & Astonishment
The Perse Lecture Theatre was the setting for a dramatic murder mystery and echoed to sounds of laughter and gasps of amazement last week, when Years 9 and 10 successfully staged their annual production.
Crime and Astonishment was based on an initial scenario by teacher Lynne Hammond. From a simple premise of an undiscovered murder in a country house setting, students went on to develop the plot and characters through role-play and improvisation.
The two performances, in which students carry out virtually all aspects of the production, were very well-received. The Year 9/10 play is one of nine productions in the School’s annual drama calendar.
