The Perse School

This Boots is made for artwork

20 Nov 2012

An exhibition of art work from The Perse School entitled "Inner Body" is currently being shown in the new surgery in Boots in Cambridge City Centre.

Pupils in Year 9 have been studying ‘The Inner Body.’ They have taken their inspiration from microscopic images of cells, bone tissue and human reproduction. They have used this as an opportunity to experiment with various techniques such as slide scanning; mono printing; relief printing and different mark making techniques.

Pupils have studied artists whose focus is on the inner body and have looked at installation art and abstract art during the course of this term’s work. Samir Chitnavis and Jack Rusted from Year 9 represented their class and the school at the opening ceremony at Boots on 14th November.
