Perse Pupils Impress at Charity Event

19 Oct 2012

Perse students came out in force to volunteer to help with the Mary Archer Charity Dinner which raised an incredible £285,000 for the Rosie Maternity Hospital; enough for a new neo-natal bed space. It was particularly special for the Perse volunteers as many had been born in the Rosie and were going back to where it all began!

Sixth formers donned their dinner suits and posh frocks for the event, and could be seen welcoming invitees, unloading harps, assisting in the auction and generally charming donations from the distinguished guests.

Year 10 Gabby Martin gave a stunning vocal performance of a medley of ‘Songs from the Shows’ to the delight of the guests.

Both organisers and guests praised the Perse volunteers for their brilliant contribution, and will be awarding certificates of gratitude.
