Chariots of Fire
A team including two Year 10 Perse students produced a stunning performance in this year’s Chariots of Fire race through the streets of Cambridge.
Robbie Sewell and Ollie Cantrill were running for ‘Mark’s Teen Trotters’ – the only completely underage team in the race. Despite organisers warning them that they would do well to get into the top 30, they finished in an incredible 4th place – just a few seconds off the prizes.
Over 350 teams entered what was the 21st anniversary of the race, a 1.6 mile leg relay around the streets and colleges of Cambridge.
Both Perseans were rightly proud of their achievement, but have already vowed to train even harder for next year to cut 6 seconds each off their time. If they manage this then a place on the podium next time is almost certain.
