Year 7 in Canterbury
23 Apr 2012
At the end of the Lent Term 7T went on an exciting journey to Canterbury with both their English and History teachers – a kind of pilgrimage, inspired by their work on The Canterbury Tales and the medieval context. The day was the grand culmination of a special cross curricular project between the two departments which aims to create opportunities for students to think imaginatively across subject boundaries and for staff to work collaboratively. Together, we enjoyed The Canterbury Tales Experience which brought to life some of the most famous tales and spent a wonderful afternoon exploring the Cathedral and its unique history. Writing poetry in the crypt was a moving end to the day and a reminder that we may well have a future Geoffrey Chaucer in our midst!
