Perse Rocketry Society at the Cambridge Science Festival
17 Apr 2012
Six members of our student-run Rocketry Society represented The Perse at Schools Zone on Saturday 24th March alongside nine other schools. They displayed two of their rockets, some of the computer simulation work they have done and various bits of hardware such as the rocket motors. They engaged enthusiastically with questions from members of the public ranging from Professors down to very young children. We wish them luck with their attempts to qualify for the UKAYRoC finals which are to be held on 16th May 2012. Their challenge is to get the rocket to a height of 800 feet (exactly), recording the height with an altimeter and then returning two raw eggs by parachute to the ground.
