Year 8 visit Shepreth Wildlife Park
Year 8 visited Shepreth Wildlife Park on Monday 12th March as part of our Science Week activities. The students enjoyed a tour of the park whilst answering questions on the animals which will link in with their Year 8 Biology conservation work later this year. They then listened to presentations by the Education Officer at Shepreth and had a chance to hold some of the animals including millipedes and snakes. This was followed by a tour of ‘Bug City’ which provided the opportunity to observe the amazing ant colony and discuss the role of the females in it (they do all the work!). Talks on owls and tigers followed and then students completed the day by working on either an animal inspired Art or slots Biology project.
