Attorney General visits The Perse
23 Mar 2012
A packed meeting of the 42 recently met with the Attorney General, Dominic Grieve, who was accompanied by Duncan Parish, Old Persean. There was standing room only for his talk in the Rouse Library, despite extra chairs having been brought in especially!
Mr Grieve gave a thorough introduction to the nature of his work and what it really entails, then opening up the floor to questions. Pupils from all years had their turn, questioning the political implications of his work and the nature of political and societal change, and he spoke passionately and convincingly about the current place and role of the Church of England in modern Britain. An impressive and persuasive speaker, Mr Grieve created a keen buzz in the school and was very willing to speak with individual pupils after the official meeting had ended.
