Perse student scoops two prestigious scholarships
Congratulations to former Perse student Leonardo Impett who has been named one of Britain's brightest engineers and scooped two prestigious scholarships. Leonardo has been awarded The James Clayton Undergraduate Scholarship from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, as well as an Ambition Award from the Institute of Engineering Technology.
Professor Roderick Smith, President of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, said, "Leonardo is one of the best young engineers the UK has to offer. The world's future depends on the ingenuity of the next generation of engineers, like Leonardo, to solve gobal issues."
The James Clayton Scholarship will contribute £1,000 a year to Leonardo's Engineering degree at Cambridge University.
