Nuffield Research Bursaries and Gold CREST awards

On the 8th November, STEM Team East celebrated the success of forty three A level students from Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex for their achievement as Nuffield Research Bursary students and British Science Association Gold CREST award winners. The students had worked for 3 to 4 weeks during the summer alongside scientists, mathematicians and engineers on research projects, to produce work of outstanding quality. The Upper had 5 Nuffield Bursary winners: Ivo Dawkins, Ian Ager, Thomas Myers and Michael Du and Peter Fryers, some of whom are pictured below.
We also had 8 Gold CREST award winners: Aidan Crilly, Edward Lam, Chris Micklem, Luke Perera, Krish Patel, Giles Barton Owen, James Clemoes and Andrew Betts.
The celebration event was hosted by the Marshall Group giving the students an opportunity to showcase their research projects in the highly successful engineering company.
