Old Persean wins Innovation Award
David Katz has won a national prize for his work with The Technology Partnership (TTP) while taking a gap year before university.
David designed and developed a prototype of an aseptic sampling device that has attracted interest from four major companies. It has won him the Innovation Award, sponsored by the Institution of Engineering and Technology, as part of The Year in Industry (YINI) programme run by education charity EDT. The working gap year programme is aimed at students working in science, technology, engineering and maths.
David is going on to study Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London.
