The Perse held its third annual telephone campaign from Monday 5 to Monday 19 September 2016 to keep in touch with Old Perseans and past parents, update them on the latest news from the School and raise money for our An Enduring Gift campaign. Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak to one of our callers, who were all recent Perse leavers and gained a great deal from their conversations with OPs and past parents.
Philanthropy has been at the heart of The Perse since Dr Stephen Perse left substantial funds to realise his vision of setting up a first class educational establishment in 1615. Thank you to everyone who has continued this tradition by pledging a donation as part of the campaign.
The funds raised during the campaign will help us to provide life-changing opportunities for young people from a wide range of backgrounds by promoting goals inspired by our founder’s philanthropy:
- Means-tested bursaries for pupils who would not otherwise be able to access a Perse education
- Facilities that support and enhance our core mission, such as a new performing arts centre to provide a space for learning beyond the classroom
- Helping others beyond the school gates through our outreach programme in partnership with local primary schools
If you were expecting a call during the telephone campaign but did not receive one, it may be that we do not have your up-to-date contact details. Please use our online form to let us know how to get in touch with you in the future.
If you have any questions about the telephone campaign or any other aspect of our An Enduring Gift campaign, please do not hesitate to contact Sarah Gordon, Deputy Development Director, on (01223) 403836 or PerseADO@perse.co.uk
