Tom Findlay is a DJ and one half of the group Groove Armada, who are well known for their chill-out music. They have released 8 albums and collaborated with a number of artists.
Throughout his time at The Perse, Tom developed a love for music, teaching himself to play keyboard and guitar in the evenings. He went on to study at Manchester University, where he secured a regular spot DJing at club nights.
Tom spent 6 months working with Empire Productions in New York City, where he had the opportunity to promote and attend many celebrity events. He returned to London and worked for a short while in PR until he met Andy Cato, who would later become the other half of Groove Armada. They promoted a number of club nights before producing their first record, ‘At The River’, which they released as a limited edition 7” vinyl in 1997. The record surpassed all expectations, and Groove Armada have gone on to be an incredibly successful group, releasing eight studio albums to date.
