Welcome
Upper School

The Upper is a co-educational day school for pupils aged 11-18 years.
We are a down-to-earth school, shaped by our values and sense of community, with around 1,200 students (including Sixth Form).
We put great emphasis on pastoral care, developing emotional intelligence and wellbeing through a positive peer group culture and first-class teaching.
We encourage students to reflect our school values in every area of their lives. Perse pupils aim high, love learning and care for one another and the environment.
Our main entry points are Year 7, where we have around 70 places and Year 9 where we have around 40 places. We occasionally have spaces available in other year groups.
Pupils are encouraged to get involved in a wide range of extra-curricular and pastoral activities which give them a positive educational experience and prepare them for happy and successful adult lives.
Our students are bright and intellectually curious, and they consistently produce many of the best GCSE and A level results in the country.
We encourage our pupils to be committed, well-balanced and kind. So, if this sounds like you, we hope to meet you soon.

Our Upper School is led by our Head, Ed Elliott.
Pupils’ attitudes to learning are extremely well developed. They are highly attentive, demonstrate initiative, independence and support each other’s learning most effectively.
