Combined Cadet Force (CCF)

Develop maturity, self-discipline and self-reliance through challenging and enjoyable activities

The Combined Cadet Force (CCF) exists in over 300 schools all over the UK and offers young people aged 13 to 18 a broad range of challenging, exciting, adventurous and educational activities. Our aim is to enable the development of personal responsibility, leadership and self-discipline. Each unit or contingent is an educational partnership between the school and the Ministry of Defence.

The CCF (and RAF) provides lots of training and experience for pupils in leadership and self-discipline, as well as promotion opportunities as they progress as a cadet. Students will also have opportunities to try gliding and powered flight. The club provides access to experiences with the armed formces which are not usually available to civilians, such as trips to RAF bases and courses, and leadership courses run at RAF Cranwell.
