The Perse School

Overseas Students

An opportunity to study and live in Cambridge

Our approach

The Perse does not have any boarding accommodation and so cannot accept applications from overseas pupils without a parent or legal guardian in the Cambridge area. All guardianship arrangements must meet with the School’s approval. We work closely with Cambridge Guardians; please contact Mrs Rebecca Clarke at Cambridge Guardians for further details (rhclarke@cambridgeguardians.co.uk).

For Sixth Form entry only, we are able to accept applications from students who require Tier 4 sponsorship, and a small number of Tier 4 students join our Sixth Form each year. Applicants must be 16 years of age on entry to the Sixth Form.

All students will be required to sit the entrance tests at the Perse on Saturday 25 November 2017.  Some students may also be required to sit subject tests, in addition to the interview and entrance tests. Please contact our admissions office for further information.

Students for whom English is a second language must also prove their proficiency in English by taking an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test prior to the Perse Entrance Test Day. Students are required to achieve an overall score of 6.5 in an IELTS test, with a minimum of 6.5 in each of the listening, reading, writing and speaking sections, for admission to The Perse. You can find your nearest IELTS testing centre on the IELTS website.

Please note that Tier 4 students who receive an offer of a place are required to pay the first year’s course fees in advance.
