The Perse does not have any boarding accommodation and so cannot accept applications from overseas pupils under the age of 16 without a parent or legal guardian in the Cambridge area. However, in the Sixth Form we are able to accept applications from non-EU nationals, and a small number of non-EU nationals join our Sixth Form each year.
If you are a non-EU national you will sit subject tests and the two papers in reasoning/ thinking skills in addition to your interview. Applicants for whom English is a second language must also prove their proficiency in English by taking an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test prior to Perse Entrance Test Day. Applicants are required to achieve a score of at least 6.5 in an IELTS test for admission to The Perse. You can find your nearest IELTS testing centre on the IELTS website.
Please note we do not have any boarding accommodation so non-EU students wanting to take up a place at the School must make guardianship arrangements that meet with the School’s approval. Please contact Mrs Rebecca Clarke at Cambridge Guardians (firstname.lastname@example.org) for further details.
Non-EU national applicants will be required to sit the entrance tests at the School on Saturday 3 December 2016.
Please note that non-EU students who receive an offer of a place are required to pay the first year’s fees in advance.
