The Perse has an outstanding track record in helping its students secure places in highly selective universities.
In the academic year 2016/17, a quarter of the Upper Sixth (43) received Oxbridge offers: 21 from Oxford and 22 from Cambridge. The courses they hope to read are diverse, encompassing a range of arts, humanities, sciences, medicine, economics and engineering courses. In total, sixth formers received more than 700 offers of places at university – on average more than four per student – including 41 offers from medical schools. Most students look set to study at a Russell Group university, with three quarters of the offers coming from these leading institutions. This year one student is heading to Harvard; in previous years students have received offers from Harvard, Yale and McGill.
