University entrants
The Perse has a strong tradition of preparing students for entrance to top universities to read Classics. Numerous Classicists have gone from The Perse to Oxford and Cambridge, receiving dedicated programmes of extension work to assist their interview preparation and transition to university.
Competitions
The department assists pupils for Latin Reading competitions, run by the Classical Association. Our Year 7 pupils perform a short play at these competitions and were winners in 2010 and 2011. Many individual successes have also been enjoyed.
