Trips

Pupils in Year 8 visit Shepreth wildlife park. This trip will take place during Science week 2012. This trip will link in with the Support and Movement, and Conservation topics studied in Year 8.

Students in the Lower Sixth attend a fieldtrip to Winterton in Norfolk to study sand dune succession as part of their A level studies.

The department advertises and encourages Sixth Form students to attend lectures organised by the Biology society at the University of Cambridge.

At school

Pupils in Year 7 are visited by Zoolab. Next year this will take place during Science Week 2012.  This experience links in with the Classification topic and allows pupils to discover the world of taxonomy using live animals to illustrate the finer points of classification.
