- Homework that is relevant and clearly understood.
What will your child study?
In the Lower School there are two distinct broad-based themes. Year 7 look at the idea of ‘Still Life’ and Year 8 ‘Landscape/Cityscape’. Pupils explore a range of approaches, the focus being on the foundation elements of tone, line, form and colour. Pupils learn techniques within printmaking, painting and drawing, 3D sculpture and digital media.
How will they be assessed?
Pupils in Years 7 and 8 are set weekly homework. This is marked by their teacher, who will give written feedback and grades. Pupils are also encouraged to take part in group discussion where they feedback constructive ideas to each other.
