Art

There are four teachers in the department all of whom are subject specialists in different areas. They are all passionate about art and dedicated to enabling each pupil to achieving their very best, guiding where it matters and giving freedom when it is needed.
In Years 7 to AS level pupils undertake lessons in one of our three teaching studios. There are facilities for printmaking, clay work and sculpture, painting and drawing, textiles and photography. A2 students enjoy using our dedicated A level studio where they each have individual spaces.
Art is a popular and growing subject at GCSE and A level at The Upper.
