Year 7 visit Ely Cathedral

Year 7 visit Ely Cathedral 18 March 2010

Year 7 pupils had a cross-curricular day at Ely Cathedral on Field Day, combining Religious Studies, History and Art.

As well as climbing to the top of the Octagon Tower, they learned how stained glass is made, and studied some examples in the Stained Glass Museum.

Some made their own designs for sculptures for the Cathedral, while others re-enacted 24 hours in the life of a medieval monk (complete with all meals and prayer times).

The pupils were complimented on their intelligent responses and excellent behaviour by Cathedral staff.
