Perse Summer School

will take place from Monday 26th July to Friday 30th July.
The Perse Summer School has been running at the Perse Upper School for the last 6 years and is very popular with children from both independent prep schools and state primaries.
This year’s course will run from Monday 26th to Friday 30th July providing enjoyable and educational activities for girls and boys currently in Year 5 and Year 6. The Perse will be fully co-educational from September 2010.
The Perse Summer School is an opportunity for students to experience a stimulating and exciting taster of Perse life, with a broad range of activities including Art, Dance, Science, Sport, Drama and more on offer.
The week’s activities are linked by theme, this year’s being ‘Potted History’, and will include:
- Art – Children can potter about our art studio. They will get to take something home with them too!
- Science – Exploring the greener side of science in a purpose built lab.
- Day trip – Summer School pupils will get to spend an educational day at one of London’s finest museums.
- Dance – The Summer School will this year be providingmodern dance tuition with a musical flavour of bygone times, all located in the School’s brand new dance studio
- Drama – Treading the school boards.
- Sport – A full afternoon of fun sporting activities
- Quiz – The week finishes with a very popular quiz where everyone is a winner!
Activities will run from 9.15am - 4.00pm with refreshment breaks and an hour for lunch. Free supervision will also be provided from 8.30am-9.15am and 4.00pm-5.30pm.
