Music
In 2009, we developed an ‘Associate Performer’ Scheme where international soloists have visited the school to give masterclasses and performances to our musicians. These visitors have included Natalie Clein (cello), Ruth Palmer (violin), John York (piano), Jeff Rich (former drummer for Status Quo) and Mark Bassey (trombone). In Autumn 2011 we welcomed international concert pianist Martin Roscoe and the female beatboxing world champion Bellatrix (not at the same time) to lead workshop/masterclass events: this should give a flavour of the variety inherent in the Music department.
