Religious Studies
There is not a day which goes by without a story in the news which can be interpreted through the eyes of a student of Philosophy or Religious Studies. We encourage our students to keep abreast of current affairs with an ethical, philosophical, or religious dimension. There are many good journals and newspapers at the students’ disposal:
- Dialogue magazine,
- Philosophy Now,
- The Philosopher’s Magazine (the department has a subscription to the three above),
- The Church Times,
- Spectator magazine,
- Newspapers: The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, The Telegraph.
Beyond these the school and departmental libraries are generously stocked with books to serve as introductions, to clarify and consolidate knowledge, and to stretch our students beyond the limits of the syllabus. The students need only ask.
