In 2011 87% of students taking History at The Perse achieved an A* or an A.

University entrants

History is regarded as a serious academic A level by top universities. They know that a high grade can only be achieved through hard work and understanding. Every year a number of Perse A level historians choose to read History for their degree. Many Perse historians have gone to Oxbridge and to other universities which have a high reputation for the subject. Seminars for the UCAS historians prepare candidates for university entrance procedures.
