AS level | The Perse School Cambridge

We follow the AQA syllabuses for AS and A2.

The four AS topics are:

Media – television, advertising, communication technology
Popular culture – cinema, music, fashion/trends
Healthy living/lifestyle – sport/exercise, health and well-being, holidays
Family/relationships – relationships within the family, friendships, marriage/partnerships

Assessment

Unit 1 – Listening, Reading and Writing (2 hours)

70% of AS mark, 35% of A level

110 marks

Unit 2 – Speaking test 35 mins (including 20 mins preparation)

30% of AS, 15% of A level

50 marks
